Lane Kiffin provides hilarious response to if he'd consider taking the New York Jets job (Ole Miss)

Lane Kiffin's career trajectory is well documented. From young NFL head coach with the Raiders in the mid-2000's to head coach in the SEC at Tennessee for a season before bolting back to USC where he helped build the Pete Carroll Trojan dynasty. He was infamously fired on the tarmac with the Trojans before landing at Alabama under Nick Saban as offensive coordinator and of course then took the FAU job and built them into a C-USA contender before landing a return gig to the SEC this past off season at Ole Miss.

It has been quite a journey for Kiffin, who at just 45 years old, has had built quite the resume as a coordinator and head coach and whose stock is certainly trending back upward again. His track record, and newfound penchant for total candidness on Twitter, lend reporters to ask him some off the wall questions.

That was on full display recently, when the Big Cat and PFT Commentator duo from Barstool Sports flat out asked Kiffin if he would consider jumping back to the NFL for a very specific franchise.

"Let's just say it's March 1st, 2021, and Ole Miss are the National Champions. How does 'Lane Kiffin, head coach of the New York Jets' sound to you?'

Kiffin's response? An eye roll, followed by "Ugh. Terrible."

The hosts respond by saying what a great answer that was, and applauding Kiffin's instincts.

"Yes. Have you seen their roster?" Kiffin quipped with a grin as the video ends.

How ironic would it be if Kiffin and his staff put together a great season in Oxford and the Jets brass throw around the idea of giving Kiffin a call? Probably won't happen, but could make for a great NUCLEAR WINTER VI storyline for sure.
