Lane Kiffin may have just staked claim to the most interesting recruiting visit of the off season.
Kiffin recently stopped by a maternity ward – not to offer a newborn a scholarship for the 2036-37 class) – but rather to deliver a heartfelt congratulations to a recruiting target celebrating the birth of a child.
On a serious not, Lake Weir HS (FL) head coach Knox Robinson tweeted the following picture of Kiffin’s visit, and gave the Owls head coach some major props for keeping the conversation geared toward life with the new young father, while football stayed on the back burner.
Whether or not the recruit ends up going to FAU or not, this is going to be a really cool story to share with the little one someday.
Love him or hate him @Lane_Kiffin came to the maternity ward to see one of his recruits who just had a baby and talked to him about real life stuff. Not football. Coach Kiffin is a genuine guy and we appreciated having him around today! pic.twitter.com/bM08DJVWtR
