Not even 24 hours after Willie Taggart was fired from Florida State did the suitors start knocking on the door.
On Monday, CBS Sports's Dennis Dodd tweeted that Lane Kiffin has expressed interest in becoming the next chief Seminole.
That report didn't take long to surface in the most active, entertaining corner of the college football internet: Lane's Twitter account. After, reportedly, privately expressing interest in the Florida State job, Kiffin publicly affirmed his plan to #stayatthefaU.
Florida State AD David Coburn said Monday he expects to fill the position quickly. The new hire will not be Lane Kiffin, according to Lane Kiffin.
