Last week we posted a map detailing where 4- and 5-star recruits from the 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes came from, and who signed them.
Our friends at Sport Source Analytics released another map, this time detailing where every first round NFL Draft pick played his high school football, and where he played his college ball.

Again, a few observations:
- The areas between Atlanta and Birmingham, Dallas-Fort Worth and Houston, South Florida, Los Angeles, the Bay Area and New Jersey are the bedrock of college and professional football.
- Ohio produces a lot more blue-chip recruits than first-round picks, and the first-round picks that do come from Ohio aren't being signed by Ohio State and Michigan.
- Wisconsin produces a lot more elite-level talent than it signs.
