Mark Stoops has led Kentucky to eight straight bowl trips, but at 3-6 currently, his Wildcats will have to win out against Murray State, at Texas and home against Louisville for that streak to extend to nine years.
Outside of their win over back in late September over Ole Miss (their last win of the season in fact), the Cats have struggled mightily as of late, dropping their last four straight games in a stretch that has seen them play Vanderbilt, Florida, Auburn and a top 10 Tennessee squad.
At 57 years old, and the landscape of college football changing dramatically the last several years, Stoops was asked today about rumors of possibly deciding to retire at the end of the season.
His answer was rather emphatic.
"Zero percent chance I do that," was his response.
Stoops is 66-71 in Lexington, where his Cats have finished among the top 25 twice with one 10-win season under his belt.
