Mark Stoops and his staff have Kentucky had his crew down in Lexington off to a 5-1 to start the season, before dropping games to LSU, Mississippi State, and Missouri in back to back to back weeks.

Now, sitting at 5-4 after the three game skid, Big Blue Nation welcomes Georgia this weekend before hitting the road to wrap up the year at Tennessee and at Louisville.

When asked about the struggle in getting the young contributors on his roster to “win the day”, Stoops shared something that him and his staff constantly tell the team; having a chance to win games comes down to a few very specific things.

“When you compete against the guys that we compete against, you’ve got to do it right all the time, or you’ve got no chance.”

“I tell our players this all the time, if you do all of those things, and you play with high energy, a great motor, and you’re as detailed as you can possibly be, you’ve got a chance…without ’em, you’ve got none.”

Excellent point coach Stoops.
