Just after completing his staff with the splash hire of Tony Alford from rival Ohio State, Sherrone Moore will have to go back to the drawing board for a position on the defensive side of the ball.
Greg Scruggs has resigned from his post as Michigan's defensive line coach.
Wolverines. head coach Sherrone Moore shared the news in a statement today.
"I just received notice that Greg Scruggs has resigned his position, effective immediately. I am unable to comment further as this is a University matter."
The resignation comes following Scruggs arrest for driving while intoxicated in Ann Arbor last week. Shortly after the arrest, it was announced that Scruggs was indefinitely suspended.
He spent last season coaching the defensive line at Wisconsin.
