After less than one full season in charge, Mississippi State decided to move on from Zach Arnett after a 4-6 record. Arnett was tabbed to take over for the late Mike Leach about a year prior to his appointment as head coach following the legends untimely passing.
Including their bowl game following Leach's passing, Arnett had a 5-6 record leading the Bulldogs.
Following the mid-November dismissal of Arnett, senior offensive analyst Greg Knox served as interim head coach for the remaining two games of the season.
