Mississippi State #StaffTracker - (2019-2020) (Mississippi State)

Joe Moorhead made his case for keeping his job in Starkville after the controversial ending to the Egg Bowl that saw his guys come out on top, but come early January administration decided to look for a better fit and Moorhead was let go.

The search eventually led down the road that lured Mike Leach away from Washington State and into SEC country.

As he does at every stop, Leach will coach the quarterbacks and call the plays on offense, and to fill out the rest of his roles, Leach brought a number of his Washington State staff.

For his defensive coordinator role, Leach was able to land rising star in the profession Zach Arnett. Arnett coordinated a top notch defense at San Diego State last fall before being lured to Syracuse briefly until Leach and the SEC came calling. Tight ends coach Tony Hughes was the lone holdover from the previous staff, and the staff got rounded out with the addition of former Texas assistant Jason Washington.

Salary information will be added when it becomes available.
