Mizzou's Barry Odom with a move every new head coach should copy

BarryOdomTnail

Barry Odom is, of course, the new head coach at Missouri. But he's anything but new to the program. Odom is a former Tiger linebacker that returned to the program as a graduate assistant, director of recruiting, director of football operations, safeties coach, linebackers coach and defensive coordinator. Just about every hat there is to be worn in the Missouri football organization, Odom has worn it.

And in one of his first moves as Missouri's head coach, Odom made a gesture to let students know they'll be invited to a student-only practice at a TBD date in the future.

Inviting students to practice is not an original move by any means, but it is a simple gesture that every new head coach -- heck, every staff, period -- should mimic.
