Nebraska basketball coach bans his players from their locker room following blowout loss

The locker rooms at Nebraska basketball's Hendricks Training Complex contain a smoothie bar, heated towel racks, a pool table, leather lounge chairs, iPod shower plug ins and all the big screen TVs a Division I basketball team could ever need. And, for the time being, the Cornhuskers don't have access to any of it.

Following a 74-46 loss to middling Iowa, head coach Tim Miles told the media his players were barred from their own locker room.

“There will be chains on the doors locking it from the outside,” Miles told the Omaha World-Herald after the game, “until further notice.”

In the meantime, Miles isn't much concerned where his players will dress for practice.

“Good luck,” he said. “They’re creative.”

Nebraska, losers of five straight and six of its last seven, is 13-14 on the season and 5-10 in Big Ten play with three regular season games remaining.
