Sources confirm Nevada parting ways with Ken Wilson

Sources share that Wilson's buyout dropped considerably as of today.

Sources confirm to FootballScoop that Nevada is set to part ways with Ken Wilson.

Matt Zenitz was first to share the news.

The move comes today as Wilson's buyout is set to drop six figures today, sources share with FootballScoop.

Wilson has led the Wolf Pack the last two seasons, and he has gone 2-10 in each of those campaigns.

Before being tabbed to take over the program, Wilson spent a total of 19 seasons as an assistant on staff earlier in his career.

He coached in a variety of capacities for Nevada from 1989 to 2012, landing his first on-field job with the program coaching the outside linebackers and defensive ends before coaching the inside linebackers for a few seasons.

Wilson was elevated to defensive coordinator in 1996.

He would go on to leave for opportunities at Washington State and Oregon, where he was the co-defensive coordinator with the Ducks in 2021 before returning to lead Nevada prior to the 2022 season.
