Nick Saban says he got into sports to avoid accordion lessons

If you're a believer in destiny, then you believe Nick Saban was always going to become the greatest college football coach in the history of the sport. No matter how he got there, he was always going to lead LSU to one national championship and Alabama to four and counting.

But if you're not, you'd better be thankful for Saban's grandmother.

According to the story he told today on Dan Patrick's show, Saban pursued sports as a youngster simply to get out of going to accordion lessons.

As for more serious subject matter, Saban shared what he's looking for from his assistants on game day and shared this gem: "A lot of people practice until they get it right.... But, really, you practice until you can't get it wrong."
