The Bivin name has been a familiar one around Notre Dame football for the past decade, with Hunter Bivin playing along the Fighting Irish offensive line under former coach Brian Kelly and then transitioning into a variety of roles within Notre Dame athletics.
Now, there's another Bivin coming to work for the Fighting Irish: Harris Bivin is joining Notre Dame's football staff as a senior offensive analyst under new offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, whom Marcus Freeman hired away from LSU in late December.
Bivin comes to Notre Dame after spending the past year on staff at LSU, where he served as that program's assistant director of football operations.
A former FCS All-America selection at Murray State, where he was a team captain and multi-year starter, Bivin has gained experience in college football in a variety of on-field coaching roles and off-the-field responsibilities.
In addition to serving as the general manager of FCS program Missouri State, where he also worked as the offensive line coach at FCS program Morehead State and was an offensive coordinator in the junior college ranks at Fort Scott Junior College and was running game coordinator at Dodge City Community College.
Bivin also served on the Samford staff of veteran Bulldogs coach Chris Hatcher.
