The Sundance Film Festival is an annual event in Utah that draws close to 50,000 people to watch independently create films, and this year they have selected air a documentary where football is front and center.
"In Football We Trust" is the story of four young Polynesian football players "struggling to overcome gang violence, family pressures, and near poverty as the enter the high stakes world of college recruiting and the promise of professional sports" the video's description explains.
This looks like one of those videos that every coach needs to see. This may only be a trailer, but the fact that it was selected to be shown at Sundance is a great testament to the message and lessons that lie inside of the full version.
Hopefully, a full version is released in the near future so that we're able to share it with you. For now, this sneak peek will have to do.
