One of the most accomplished high school coaches ever has passed (Corky Rogers)

One of the most accomplished high school football coaches to ever roam the sideline has sadly passed.

Florida coaching legend Corky Rogers, the former head coach at Lee HS (FL) and Bolles School (FL), passed away yesterday at the age of 76.

Rogers led and developed thousands of young men during his 45 seasons as a head coach. As a high school coach in Florida, Rogers led his teams to 16 state title game appearances. He is the state's leader in all-time wins with 465 and won a total of 10 state titles.

Perhaps more impressive than any of those impressive accomplishments - Rogers never had a losing season as a head coach. Every year his squad finished .500 or better, and after his first two seasons, every year afterward he finished with a winning record.

In 2016, Rogers stepped away from the sideline citing health issues. He led the program at Lee from 1972 - 1988, and Bolles from 1989 - 2016.

Overall as a head coach, Rogers went a remarkable 465-84-1.

Please join us in praying for the family of coach Rogers and all those affected.
