According to Andy Slater, one state now has the go ahead needed to fill out to full capacity.
Whether they actually will right away remains to be seen.
Slater shares that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has lifted the stadium restrictions in Florida, meaning that everyone from the Jags, Bucs, and Dolphins to FIU and FAU now have the green light to increase their attendance at games to full capacity.
However, just because the restrictions have been lifted doesn't necessarily mean places like The Swamp will be rocking full tilt just yet. In the SEC, schools are the ones who set their attendance limits.
Per the SEC policy:
Institutions shall determine the number of guests permitted to attend in accordance with applicable state and local guidelines, policies and / or regulations, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations on physical distancing should be applied.
Florida made 17,000 tickets available for their home opener against South Carolina. Next week, on the 17th, they welcome LSU to Gainesville so it will be interesting to see what type of crowd they allow for that one.
From what I am able to tell, Florida is the first state to lift the attendance restrictions.
