Oregon State mic's up energetic defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake

When Gary Andersen left Wisconsin for the head coaching job at Oregon State, one of the top priorities was luring Utah defensive coordinator Kalani Sitake to join his staff. The draw of running the defense for Andersen in Corvallis was enough to land Sitake, reuniting the two who worked together when Andersen was the head coach at Southern Utah when Sitake was hired to coach the running backs.

Now, Sitake (who played fullback at BYU), is more than at home on the defensive side of the ball and it doesn't take long into this mic'd up clip of him at spring practices to see why Andersen wanted him running the show on defense.

Sitake is full of energy and enthusiasm, relates to the players really well, and is always preaching turnovers - and then taking care of the football one they get i.
