After going undrafted out of Oregon State in 2008, Kyle DeVan enjoyed a six-year career in the NFL with stops with the Redskins, Jets, Colts, Eagles. and Titans.
Now the college coaching veteran is once again his alma mater to head t the the NFL again.
After one season as the offensive line coach for the Beavers, DeVan is reportedly set to join the staff of Ben Johnson with the Bears, CBS Sports shares.
DeVan started his coaching career a few short seasons after his playing career came to an end, landing as the assistant offensive line coach with the Saints in 2015.
There, he worked with current Bears offensive line coach Dan Roushar, who joined the staff after two seasons at Tulane as offensive line coach.
Since then, he's had a number of one and two year stops around college football, coaching the offensive lines at Ball State and then Arizona for a few seasons each before landing on the Michigan staff as an analyst in 2021.
He left to become the offensive line coach at Colorado, where he spent one season before taking the offensive line job at Charlotte in 2023 and spent this last season in Corvallis at Oregon State.
