Penn State reportedly adding an SEC coordinator to the staff (Vanderbilt)

James Franklin continues to reload his staff with strong hires following a 10-3 season where they saw turnover at both coordinator positions with Andy Kotelnicki coming in as offensive coordinator and Tom Allen taking over the defense.

Now Franklin is set to add an SEC coordinator to the Nittany Lions staff.

According to multiple reports tonight, Vanderbilt special teams coordinator Justin Lustig is set to join the staff in Happy Valley.

Lustig, a former nominee for the Broyles Award, also coached the tight ends and added the associate head coach title for the Commodores in 2021.

Before joining the staff in Nashville, Lea coached at Syracuse, where he worked with a number of offensive positions including the running backs and outside receivers and added assistant head coach responsibilities for the 2019-20 seasons.

A former head coach at Edinboro (D-II - PA), Lustig inherited an 0-11 Fighting Scots team and led the team to one of the biggest turnarounds in Division II history with a 9-2 season that led to multiple Coach of the Year honors.
