Getting Week 2 of our Online Clinic series started is The Apprentice School (VA) offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Charlie Skalaski IV.

In his second season at The Apprentice School, coach Skalaski shares his philosophy on getting into "perfect plays" and how to empower your quarterback to make checks at the line of scrimmage.

Here are a few takeaways I had from coach Skalaski's talk:

  • A heavy veer and zone run scheme team, Skalaski touches on their simple verbiage system to communicate the read key on the defensive line
  • The buzzword they use to identify the read key
  • Some keys for your OL and RBs on trap and veer game from the gun
  • Philosophy on QBs footwork in their RPO game
