USC has been one of the few schools immune to the latest trends of the college football uniform world. You haven't seen the Trojans in all black, in matte helmets, with alternate logos or any of the like. That puts them in a group with Alabama, Texas, Auburn and, uh, that's about it.
Even fellow blue-bloods Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska and Oklahoma have switched it up from time to time. Not the Trojans, though.
That changes Saturday though, as USC hosts Arizona State with a shinier helmet than usual.

Maybe we need to see them in natural light because, outside of the cardinal face mask, I'm not seeing much of a difference here.
