Back in April, word broke that Washington was ending their nearly two-decade old agreement with Nike and were making the switch to Adidas as part of a $119 million apparel deal.
Adidas closed the deal by agreed to pay $5.275 million annually to Washington in cash, plus $5.58 million in product, which was considerably more than the $3.5 million annually in product and cash that Nike had been giving the Huskies over the past decade.
All told, Washington's new deal with Adidas is one of the most valuable in college athletics and makes them the premier Adidas program out on the west coast.
With the rebranding to Adidas, that means that new uniforms are on the way for the entire Washington athletic department, including football unis. Last night, local media were treated to what was supposed to be a cell phone-free boat cruise, where no pictures and video were supposed to be shared so the new threads could stay under wraps until July 10th.
While no pictures seem to have leaked from that event specifically, it does appear that a picture of the new Adidas unis have leaked via a locker room picture.
Doesn't appear to be any major changes other than the font used for the numbers being a little less round. It's also worth noting that chrome purple helmet looks real nice as well.
