It case America's largest sports television network or America's most prominent college athletics conference haven't reminded you in the last couple of hours, they have partnered to launch a new television network that launches in August. It's called the SEC Network, and it's poised to be kind of a big deal.
“It was important that the set had its own distinct look and feel, while still maintaining the quality and technology that viewers have come to expect from an ESPN network,” ESPN vice president of production, college networks Stephanie Druley said in a statement. “The set is designed to give us three unique environments. It will have touch screen technology and multiple monitors and lighting which can be changed to colors reflective of the 14 different schools. It will be a great new home for the coverage of all of the SEC member institutions and its’ 21 sports.”
Essentially, it's a SportsCenter-esque set bathed in SEC imagery.
