Just a few minutes ago we retweeted a picture that includes a young Frank Beamer, Ralph Friedgen, Bobby Ross, and Jimmy Laycock from their days at The Citadel together that was quite the blast from the past.
Friedgen, Beamer, and Laycock were all part of Bobby Ross' staff back in the mid-70's, well before each of them branched off to their own successful head coaching careers.
Seeing this made us think of all the other guys out there that could reproduce some pics like this that we could all look back and smile at. Maybe it's an old picture of Urban Meyer's staff from the mid-to-late 2000's at Florida, or perhaps it's Bill Walsh's from his heyday with the 49ers, or better yet, some top notch college coaches or coordinators from their high school coaching days (Art Briles, Chad Morris, Gus Malzahn, etc.).
Either way, we want to see them and share them with the rest of the coaching community. Shoot us an email at Mail@FootballScoop.com or tweet it to us @FootballScoop and we'll update the article with your submissions
If you've ever wanted a reason to dig into those old photo albums and put an old friend or colleague on blast, this is your chance. Really looking forward to seeing what you come up with on this one!
Update:
This photo, courtesy of the Iowa SB Nation page, is exactly what we had in mind. Very impressive staff.
Photo includes Bob Stoops, Dan McCarney, Barry Alvarez, Bill Brashier, Bill Snyder, and Kirk Ferentz
