Jesse Minter and Jay Harbaugh aren't the only pieces of the Michigan staff leaving for the NFL.
According to a report tonight from Matt Zenitz, the Wolverines are losing Doug Mallory to an opportunity in the NFL.
Mallory, an accomplished defensive coach who served as a defensive analyst for the Wolverines last season, is set to join John Harbaugh and the Ravens as defensive backs coach, the report adds.
The 60-year old is a coaching veteran with stops at Indiana, Maryland, Oklahoma State and LSU, just to name a few.
He held coordinator roles at Western Kentucky, LSU, New Mexico and Indiana before jumping to the NFL in 2015 where he spent two seasons as a defensive assistant with the Falcons.
Earning a promotion to defensive backs coach in 2017, Mallory worked i that role until 2020 before being named senior defensive assistant / defensive backs coach.
