Ottawa Redblacks head coach Rick Campbell has resigned from his post, according to multiple reports.
Campbell led the Redblacks to a Grey Cup title in 2016 and a Grey Cup appearance last fall, but the club backslid to a 3-15 campaign this season. Ottawa's season concluded with a 42-32 loss to the Montreal Alouettes on Friday.
Campbell is the only head coach in franchise history. He has led the club since its 2014 founding. He led the Redblacks to three Grey Cup appearances in the club's first five seasons of play.
