His original contract took him through the 2022 season and paid him about $1.9 million per year. That salary put him at the bottom of the barrel as far as pay among his Pac-12 peers. Smith led his alma mater to a 2-10 mark in year one, and made marked improvements in year two as they finished 5-7 with a second place finish in the Pac-12 North. OF their five wins this past season, their four FBS wins came against UCLA, Cal, Arizona, and Arizona State. No financial terms of the deal have been shared yet. Stay tuned... Stay tuned to
