Today is a big day for the Jaguars in their quest to possibly lure Urban Meyer out of coaching retirement.
According to reports from the NFL Network duo of Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport this morning, Meyer will meet with the Jaguars today to discuss their head coaching opening.
Pelissero notes that no deal is imminent with Meyer and the team still has at least one interview scheduled while Rap adds that an "in-person meeting can accelerate everything."
The Jaguars have already done a number of interviews, including Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bienemy and Falcons interim coach Raheem Morris, and have an interview lined up on Sunday for 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh.
The LA Chargers are the other NFL team reportedly interested in Meyer.
Earlier this week, a report shared that Urban was looking for top dollar to come out of retirement, seeking as much as $12 million per year.
The Jags fired Doug Marrone after a 1-15 season and hold the #1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. The team is also looking for a new GM after firing Dave Caldwell in-season.
