According to reports this afternoon, FAU has decided to make a change at a few coordinator roles.
Co-offensive coordinator Clint Trickett is will not return to the staff, according to reports today. Bruce Feldman and Adam Rittenberg were among the first to share the news.
Feldman adds that special teams coordinator Jaron Fairman and the program have also parted ways. Fairman also worked with the team's tight ends.
Trickett has spent the past four seasons on the FAU staff, starting off as tight ends coach under Lane Kiffin. Shortly after Willie Taggart arrived, Trickett was promoted to co-offensive coordinator and moved to quarterbacks coach heading into 2020.
Before landing with the Owls, Trickett had a few seasons experience as the quarterbacks coach at East Mississippi CC (JC), where he got some screen time on the hit Netflix show Last Chance U during it's first season.
As a player, he spent a few seasons as a quarterback at Florida State before finishing his career at West Virginia.
Fairman joined the FAU staff in 2017 under Kiffin as well, starting off as a player development assistant before being elevated to special teams coordinator in January of 2018 - becoming the first coach in the 18-year history of the program to focus solely on special teams.
He previously coached at USC as an offensive graduate assistant.
