If there was one coach in this year's Sweet 16 that would inspire innocent bystanders who passed him on the street to ask one another, "Is that guy a football coach?", it would most certainly be Virginia Tech's Buzz Williams. Look at this man and tell me he could not pass for the head strength coach at Auburn.
Or perhaps he's the head coach at McNeese State.
Beyond the look, Williams carries himself like a defensive line coach who gets in his players' faces, flings spittle all over them, them hugs them up afterwards. Tell me you don't see that when you watch this clip, taken after Virginia Tech beat Liberty to advance to the Sweet 16.
Williams and Virginia Tech face Duke on Friday night, and college basketball insiders say Buzz is likely bound for Texas A&M after the Hokies complete their run.
If that proves true, Jimbo Fisher could bring Buzz in to teach his own players about clarity of purpose, and then maybe show the Aggies' linebackers a thing or two about proper tackling.
