Ryan Grubb reportedly a candidate for Seahawks offensive coordinator opening (Alabama)

Mike Macdonald has his sights on one of the top coordinators in college football.

As a bonus, the coach also happens to be very familiar with Seattle.

Macdonald, who held his introductory presser as the new head coach of the Seahawks earlier today, is considering Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb for his offensive coordinator post, per PFT.

Mike Floria shares that Grubb is "definitely under consideration for the job," and says that a deal is not finalized.

Last month, Grubb left Seattle to follow Kalen DeBoer from Washington to Alabama.

Grubb has no previous experience coaching in the NFL, but has prior stops at Fresno State, Eastern Michigan, Sioux Falls (NAIA) and South Dakota State (FCS). His relationship with DeBoer spans back to their days together at Sioux Falls.
