Alex Grinch made $1.8 million as the defensive coordinator for Lincoln Riley at USC last season and was fired with two game remaining in the season.
His buyout details related to that move have not been shared, but we now know how much he'll be making as he hits a career-reset of sorts at Wisconsin.
Now in Madison as the new co-defensive coordinator and safeties coach for the Badgers, Grinch is set to make $500k each season of his two-year deal, according to the Wisconsin State Journal.
The report adds that new offensive line coach AJ Blazek will make $650k in each year of his two-year deal as well.
That salary is the same amount that Wisconsin paid Jack Bicknell Jr, who was reassigned on staff in a yet-to-be-determined role on staff.
Lastly, the report adds that new receivers coach Kenny Guiton will make $425k each of the next two seasons of his deal.
That figure is down slightly from what the Badgers paid Mike Brown, but he also carried the associate head coach title before leaving for a similar role at Notre Dame under Marcus Freeman.
So far, Fickell has allotted just shy of $5.1 million to his assistant coaches, and last year's staff had a salary total of $5.4 million
The program formally announced the addition of EJ Whitlow as their new defensive line coach yesterday, replacing Greg Scruggs who left for the same role at Michigan. His salary has not yet been shared, but it appears that the total salary pool will be right in the same ballpark as it was during last season.
