Sark learned of his dismissal at USC via text messages and emails from friends

Pat Haden made it clear during his presser yesterday that he wasn't able to get ahold of Steve Sarkisian after the decision had been made to let him go.

Haden noted he tried to get ahold of Sark for two hours, including calling his friends and family in an effort to reach him, but eventually had to settle with sending a termination letter to Sark's agent. As of yesterday's press conference, the two parties still have not spoken.

According to Joe Schad, Sark learned of his dismissal after the news hit the wire by friends sending their sympathies via text and email.

If there's truth to that, it's not a good look for anyone involved. Schad elaborated on the situation with a few additional tweets last night.
