If all the mayhem of 2020 brought one good thing, it’s that we all learned how to hold virtual meetings via outlets like Zoom or Google Meet.
College football programs were no different, having to resort to the online interaction to replace the customary in-person team meeting topics, keep in touch with players, install schemes and prescribe workouts among other things.
Texas Tech took that a step further and utilized Zoom in a creative way recently, creating a really unique memory for a walk-on.
Inviting his family onto the team Zoom call, Red Raiders head coach Matt Wells had the family of receiver Xavier White on to award a scholarship to their son – a third generation Texas Tech student athlete.
