Scot Loeffler is leaving Bowling Green for the NFL (Bowling Green)

Just when you think the head coaching carousel is done spinning, there's usually another move or two on the way.

This year that move comes from the MAC.

Scot Loeffler is leaving Bowling Green after six seasons, the school has announced. The Toledo Blade was first to share the news.

His next stop? With the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles as their quarterbacks coach.

Loeffler went 27-41 leading BGSU, which includes 7-6 marks in each of the past two seasons.

Those two winning campaigns marked the first back-to-back winning seasons for the program since 2012-15.

A veteran college play caller, Loeffler has called offenses at Temple, Auburn, Virginia Tech and Boston College before landing his first head coaching opportunity rebuilding Bowling Green. He's also coached quarterbacks at a number of high profile stops including Michigan and Florida as well as Central Michigan during his career.

In Philly, he replaces Doug Nussmeier, who left to join Kellen Moore's staff in New Orleans as the Saints offensive coordinator.

It marks his second opportunity at the NFL level in a career that spans three decades. In 2008, he served as the quarterbacks coach for the Detroit Lions.
