There are a lot of phrases that aren't necessarily unique to the coaching profession out there aimed at chasing the next job.
"The grass isn't always greener," is of course perhaps the single most popular one, but there's also a personal favorite along the lines of, "Be where your feet are."
Over the weekend, UCF announced that Scott Frost was making a return to Orlando to lead the Knights after previously leading them to an undefeated season in 2017.
Of course, after that magical season, an opening popped up at Nebraska - Frost's alma mater. No one blamed Frost for wanting to go back to his roots and return to the Huskers program to prominence.
As we know now, that was much harder said than done. Frost went 16-31 leading the school he was a two-time All American at, and was never able to lead them to a postseason berth.
Yesterday, Frost arrived back at his old stomping grounds in Orlando, completing the rare coaching comeback story.
He's back leading the Knights with a new perspective, new experiences, and clear eyes.
Frost made a comment yesterday at his re-introductory presser that seemed to reflect back on his decision to leave, and also highlights where his head is at as he returns.
"When you're climbing the ladder of success in life, sometimes they forget to tell you to stop when you're happy."
That's a great reminder, not just for this time of year in particular, but for life in general.
