SEC program working to reportedly add Jerry Kill to staff (Vanderbilt)

After two seasons of unprecedented success at New Mexico State, Jerry Kill decided to step away recently.

While Kill felt like he couldn't lead a program the way he felt like he needed to, coaches have recognized the value he brings to a program and he has quickly been lured to help somewhere each time he's been available.

This time appears to be no different.

According to a report from Pete Thamel today, Vanderbilt is in the process of hiring the veteran college coach to a role on the staff.

The report adds that the role is expected to be an off-field consulting position where he will work alongside head coach Clark Lea and new offensive coordinator Tim Beck.
