Seth Littrell has joined Oklahoma's staff as an offensive analyst, Brent Venables announced at his pre-spring press conference on Monday.
"Great opportunity for us to get better on our staff," Venables said.
Littrell was North Texas's head coach from 2016-22, going 44-44. His teams reached six bowl games in his seven seasons and played for two Conference USA championships.
Prior to UNT, Littrell was the offensive coordinator at North Carolina, Indiana, and Arizona.
The Muskogee, Okla., native has extensive Big 12 experience as the Sooners gear up to win the conference for a 15th and final time in 2023. Littrell was among the group of Sooners in place when Bob Stoops took the job in 1999. In Littrell's sophomore season of 1998, Oklahoma endured its fifth straight non-winning season; by his senior year, the Sooners were national champions.
Littrell began coaching as a GA under Mark Mangino at Kansas in 2002, and then spent 2005-08 as the running backs coach under Mike Leach at Texas Tech.
Littrell joins a support staff that includes former Utah State and Texas Tech head coach Matt Wells as advisor to the head coach and offensive analyst.
Oklahoma will look to improve on its 6-7 showing in Venables' 2022 debut -- the first non-winning Sooner campaign since the 44-year-old Littrell's playing days.
