It's been a rough few weeks for the SMU program. June Jones resigned during their bye week after being outscored 88-6 by North Texas and Baylor in his first two games of the year, and defensive coordinator Tom Mason got the call up to interim head coach.
Then, immediately following their bye week, they're due to face one of the hottest offensive teams in the country in Texas A&M on Saturday.
Now would seem like as good a time as ever to unveil an all chrome helmet for the team to wear next week at home against TCU then, right? That certainly seems to be the case according to the official SMU Twitter account...
