Doug Meacham is expected to return to the TCU staff, a source told FootballScoop on Thursday.
Meacham's role on the staff is not clear at this time. TCU has an opening following co-offensive coordinator/running backs coach Curtis Luper's departure for a similar role at Missouri.
Meacham spent the 2014-16 campaigns as the Frogs co-offensive coordinator and inside wide receivers coach, working alongside co-offensive coordinator Sonny Cumbie. In 2014-15, the Horned Frogs went a combined 23-3, winning a share of the Big 12 title and the Peach Bowl with an AP No. 3 finish in 2014, and an AP No. 7 finish in 2015.
The Frogs finished No. 2 nationally in scoring in 2014 (46.5 points per game) and No. 7 in 2015 (42.1).
Meacham spent the 2017-18 seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach on David Beaty's staff at Kansas. He previously agreed to become the offensive coordinator of the XFL's St. Louis BattleHawks. The club is scheduled to begin play next month.
