Sources have told FootballScoop that a few of Jeremy Pruitt's staffers are being targeted for positions at Florida State and potentially Ole Miss.
We understand that Vols running backs coach David Johnson has been offered a position on Mike Norvell's Florida State staff. We hear that Jeremy Pruitt isn't expected to let him go easily though, and we're told Pruitt was exploring avenues to keep Johnson in Knoxville.
Source also tells FootballScoop Tennessee assistant head coach / passing game coordinator / wide receivers coach Tee Martin has been a target for a position on Lane Kiffin's staff at Ole Miss staff. Lane has named a number of offensive assistants hired without specific roles defined just yet.
We understand that one (or both) of those moves would likely prompt the promotion of Vols director of programming for football Joe Osovet to an on-the-field role, likely working with the running backs. Osovet is the former head coach at ASA College (JC - NY) where they set a number of school records and he carved out a name for himself as an innovative offensive mind in college football, especially when it comes to the RPO game.
