Source: Mississippi Valley State has let go Kendrick Wade (Kendrick Wade)

After a 1-11 season, source tells FootballScoop Mississippi Valley State has let go of head coach Kendrick Wade.

He spent the past two seasons leading the Delta Devils, winning one game each of those years and finishing 6th in the East Division of the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Their lone win this season came back in November when they snapped a 15-game losing streak with a 24-21 win over Florida A&M.

The upset snapped a 23-game home win streak for the Rattlers.

Before taking over at Mississippi Valley State, Wade spent the past few seasons in HBCU football, as the receivers coach and pass game coordinator Delta State in 2022 and in the same capacity at Fort Valley State in 2020 and 2021.

He also had a one-year stop at the NAIA level at Briar Cliff (NAIA - IA) coaching the receivers.

A former Mississippi Valley State receiver, he leaves his alma mater with a 2-21 overall record.
