Pat Narduzzi and Pitt are adding a well regarded veteran special teams presence to the staff.
Sources tell FootballScoop Utah State senior special teams analyst Bobby Dodd, who just wrapped up his fifth season with the program this past fall, is joining the staff
He will serve in a special teams analyst role, sources share. The opportunity at Pitt marks his first stop at the Power Four level.
The man that coincidentally shares his name with longtime legendary Georgia Tech head coach and administrator started off in a quality control role with special teams at Utah State for two season before spending the last three in the senior special teams analyst role.
Before joining the staff in Logan, Dodd was a special teams quality control coach on staff at Arkansas State for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. He also assisted with the team's quarterbacks during his time with the Red Wolves.
The veteran support staffer started his work in football in equipment as a student at New Mexico and as a volunteer at Tulane while a student at John Curtis Christian (River Ridge, LA) prior to getting into the coaching side of things at Arkansas State.
At Pitt, he will work with special teams coordinator Jacob Bronowski, considered a rising special teams star coordinator who previously coordinated top special teams units for Chuck Martin at Miami (OH).
