Kirk Bryant will join Scotty Walden's new Austin Peay staff, sources told FootballScoop on Tuesday. Bryant is the first reported offensive hire to the new Governor regime. Chris Kappas was previously reported as the club's new defensive coordinator.
Bryant will coach inside receivers for the Govs.
Bryant is currently in his fourth season on Baylor's offensive staff. After joining the team as a graduate assistant in 2017-18, he moved to quality control in 2019.
Walden and Bryant worked together in 2016 at East Texas Baptist, where Bryant was the wide receivers coach and director of football operations while Walden was the head coach.
Bryant played wide receiver at Mississippi College from 2011-14.
