Sources tell FootballScoop that Chuck Heater has agreed to join Steve Addazio's Colorado State staff as defensive coordinator.
Heater is currently serving in an off the field capacity on Dan Mullen's staff at Florida.
Has extensive ties with Addazio at Temple and Florida including serving as assistant defensive coordinator and co-defensive coordinator with the Gators previously before leaving to be the defensive coordinator at Temple (2011-12) and Marshall from (2013-17). He briefly coached the safeties at Maryland after his time at Marshall before heading back to Gainesville.
Heater does have coaching experience in the Pacific Northwest, coaching at Colorado State, Colorado, Washington and Utah from 1991-2004.
We also understand that running backs coach Brian White is expected to follow Addazio from Boston College to Fort Collins.
