Sources: Alabama has their new strength coach (Featured)

Sources tell FootballScoop Indiana director of athletic performance David Ballou has accepted Nick Saban's offer to be the new strength coach for Alabama football.

A former Indiana fullback (heck yeah Son!), Ballou has overseen the Hoosiers' strength program the last two seasons. He spent the 2017 season at Notre Dame serving as co-director of football strength & conditioning.

Prior to his time at Notre Dame Ballou was the head strength coach at IMG Academy in Florida.

Ballou has big shoes to fill at Alabama; but sources tell FootballScoop Ballou won't plan to be anything other than himself. "He has his plan, and the players and staff buy in. He will be a great addition at Bama." a close connection to Ballou told FootballScoop.

As always stay tuned to The Scoop for the latest coaching job information.

Update >>Adam Rittenberg adds that Indiana athletic performance coach Dr. Matt Rhea will also be joining Ballou at Alabama.
