Sources: Stony Brook offensive coordinator to come from FBS program
New head coach Billy Cosh's offensive coordinator will come with him from Western Michigan, sources tell FootballScoop.
Western Michigan running backs coach Anthony Davis will be the new offensive coordinator at Stony Brook, sources told FootballScoop on Friday.
Davis recently completed his first season at WMU under the new staff of head coach Lance Taylor, where he worked alongside new Stony Brook head coach Billy Cosh.
WMU's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2023, Cosh was hired as the Sea Wolves' new head coach on Dec. 13.
He previously coached running backs at Chattanooga, Akron and VMI. Ailym Ford was an All-American at Chattanooga under Davis's tutelage.
Stony Brook went 0-10 in 2023.
