Seth Doege made a name in college as a star quarterback in the Southwest.
Now, the former Texas Tech standout who had a brief professional career is set to return to the region.
Sources tell FootballScoop Thursday night that Doege is in line to become Arizona's next offensive coordinator for Brent Brennan. The two sides are working to finalize the deal, per sources.
It's another giant leap for Doege, who in Year 1 as an Football Bowls Subdivision offensive coordinator stamped his arrival on the national scene.
Hired after the 2023 season by Charles Huff to take over the Marshall offense, Doege merely responded by helping the Thunder Herd win 10 games, the program's first-ever Sun Belt Conference Championship and rank in the top 40 nationally with 32 points per game.
Brennan, who garnered the job following record-setting success atop the San Jose State program, is rebooting the Arizona staff following his first season atop the Wildcats program.
Arizona roared to an 3-1 start but then closed at 4-8 following injuries and inconsistencies.
In addition to his season calling plays for Marshall, Doege also has Power Conference experience from time on the coaching staffs at Ole Miss, USC and Purdue.
