Sources: Charles Huff, Marshall land new OC (Marshall)

Seth Doege, a former record-setting quarterback at Texas Tech University, is poised to land his first offensive coordinator job.

Sources tell FootballScoop that Doege, who spent the past season as Purdue's tight ends coach, has been targeted by Marshall coach Charles Huff to run the Thundering Herd's offense.

After his playing career with the Red Raiders, Doege also had a brief pro career in both the NFL and CFL before he transitioned into coaching.

Stops along his career path as a coach include three seasons at Bowling Green, where he rose to become the Falcons' special teams coordinator, and consecutive seasons at USC in different capacities before landing on Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss staff in 2022 as an offensive analyst.

Marshall is once again headed to the postseason under Huff, the program's third-year head coach. Huff, a winner of 22 games in his first turn as a head coach, has Marshall headed to the Frisco Bowl later this month.

Previously under Huff, Marshall earned invitations to both the New Orleans Bowl and Myrtle Beach Bowl.
